Who we are

iBusinessDepot (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides weekly NZ-ready business ideas, plans, templates, and mentoring at ibusinesdepot.co.nz. We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs).

Information we collect

• Account & profile (name, email, password hash, plan/tier, login history)

• Billing/subscriptions via providers (e.g., Stripe/Payhip) — we don’t store full card numbers

• Idea submissions & uploads (your business idea, attachments, forms)

• Communications (emails, support messages)

• Usage & device (pages viewed, IP-based location, browser, referrer)

• Cookies & similar tech (session/login, analytics, embeds)

How we use it

Provide the service; personalise and improve; payments & billing; support & comms; security & compliance.

Sharing (no selling of personal info)

Service providers/processors (Dorik; Stripe/Payhip; email service; analytics/pixels if enabled; RSS.app; TradingView; social embeds), advisors (legal/accounting/IT), with your direction (referrals), and as required by NZ law. Some processing may occur outside NZ; providers are contractually bound to safeguard data.

International transfers

Your data may be processed overseas by our providers. We take reasonable steps to protect it consistent with NZ law.

Retention

Account/billing records retained while active; some billing/tax data up to 7 years. Submissions retained while your plan is active or under review. Analytics/logs retained for security/performance, then aggregated or deleted.

Your rights (NZ Privacy Act)

Access/correction; deletion where lawful; opt-out of marketing; cookie controls.

Cookies, analytics & embeds

Essential cookies (login); analytics; optional marketing pixels; embeds (NZ Herald via RSS.app, TradingView NZX, X/Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn) may set their own cookies under their policies. Browser settings can limit cookies; some features may break.

Children

Not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child provided personal info, contact us.

Security

Encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege. No system is 100% secure; use a strong, unique password.

Changes

We’ll update this page for material changes and may notify you by email/on-site.

Special note (confidential ideas)

We treat submissions as confidential. Access is limited to authorised mentors/staff supporting your plan. We don’t disclose your idea without permission, except to processors under contract or where required by law
